Danish Responsibility presents how we work with responsibility in Denmark. Our mission is to create a better world with better products.
When social and environmental responsibility is incorporated throughout the supply chain, from design and production to use and disposal, the end-result is better products, and better pro-
ducts create a better world.
It may sound simple, but in practice responsibility involves many different elements and often requires difficult choices.
The four dimensions
Danish Responsibility is based on four dimensions, where responsible behaviour is created through a sound and strong interaction between these dimensions.

Responsible companies are vital if we are to create a better world with better products. Such companies not only comply with national and international regulations; many of them assume more responsibility than required. The result is responsible production and behaviour.
As a nation, Denmark is in many fields one of the countries leading the way in encouraging responsible production and behaviour. Denmark is an international frontrunner, with politicians who are not afraid to make demands of Danish companies and a government that supports the companies’ initiatives to achieve responsible growth.
Responsibility is not just about how we work and produce in Denmark. It is just as much about how we cooperate with other people, companies and authorities around the world. An inter-
national commitment is therefore an important dimension of Danish Responsibility.
In many areas, sustainability is a natural and integral part of Danish life. It is also an important aspect of Danish Responsibility that we stay focused on developing a sustainable society.
An invitation to a dialogue on responsibility
Responsibility is high on the agendas of public authorities and many Danish companies. We hope that there will be considerable interest around the world in learning about our approach to responsible growth.
We believe that we can inspire others with our approach, and we are convinced that we can increase our own expertise by engaging in dialogue with business and trading partners as well as other stakeholders around the world.
Danish Responsibility is an invitation to dialogue on responsible production and behaviour; in terms of overall methods and solutions, as well as individual industries and products.
